Released Fall, 1989

Community Chest Records #4

1500 Copies - 7” Record / Green Vinyl

"BiG EGO”
marks the first record BiG MiSTAKE made.
Green vinyl was chosen because green is the bands’ favorite color. They also are all fans of Pizza, Naked Raygun and the Bad Brains.
The album was recorded again by Michael Bloomer in his new warehouse called Upstairs Audio, located in Willimantic, CT. All the recording of this album was captured on videotape by Ted's old roommate Mike. You can watch some of the highlights on The BiG MiSTAKE Home Video.
Recording 10 songs for this release proved to be a challenge for the band. They practiced for weeks to get all the timings right because money would only permit 2 takes on each song.
"You Destroy Da Scene" proved to be the most difficult to record and master.
"BiG EGO" has 10 songs, with Ted, Gabe and Jen on vocals. This release varies in style: pop, hardcore, rock and even old school rap - with guitar stylings by Gabe's friend Garth. Some early hits are "007" and "Take Off The Mask".
This Release also marks the future friendship with Mark Dargee with Community Chest Records.
This record is hard to find.
